Fleischmanns Yeast Presents Founders Day in Fleischmanns
Description
Fleischmanns Founder’s Day, a celebration of the Fleischmanns Family, The Fleischmanns Yeast 150th Anniversary, vintage baseball and the Village of Fleischmanns.

Our weekend begins with a panel discussion about the Fleischmanns Family, its history and its influence on business, baseball during the late 19th century and early 20th century to be held at Spillian on Friday night.

Saturday at 11am is the Fleischmanns parade featuring the Margaretville Central School Marching Band, American Legion Color Guard. Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, antique fire trucks and the Mountain Athletic Club and Bovina Dairyman. The route will cover Main Street, Depot Street and Wagner Abenue culminating with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.

MAC vs Bovina Dairymen first pitch at noon.
Beer, BBQ and bites will be offered by food trucks and vendors from noon until 4pm.
Music by Kim Hawkey and Friends.
Winners of The Fleischmanns Yeast Bake Off, two categories, Breads and Desserts, will be announced during the 7th inning stretch.

Turn of the last centure games and activities will take place throughout the afternoon.

This is a celebration for families, children, vintage baseball fans, and foodies.

Join us for Founder’s Day Parade at 11:00 am starting at the Fleischmanns Firehouse down Main Street to Depot Street and onto Wagner Avenue to the park

First pitch at Noon when  MAC plays Bovina Dairymen

Fleischmanns Yeast Bake-Off: entries delivered to the big tent by 12:30, judging results to be announced at 2pm. Blue Ribbon First prize plus $150 gift Card and Fleischmanns Yeast basket, 2nd prize ribbon plus $100 gift card and Fleischmanns Yeast gift basket to be awarded in each of two categories, Breads and Desserts.
