Marion Chamber Social Mob held at Pookie's on October 12

The Marion Chamber of Commerce Social Mob was held from 4-6 p.m. on Thursday, October 12 at Pookie's. The owner offered HALF OFF drinks and appetizers at the event.

Every quarter, the Marion Chamber invites you to visit a Marion area establishment armed with cash, a smile, and a love of Marion. We call the business ahead of time to let them know they have been chosen as that quarter's Social Mob destination, but we won't let you know where the location is until the day before the Social Mob. The Marion Chamber Social Mob is held the 2nd Thursday in April, July, October and January.

Here are the rules for the Marion Social Mobs.
  1. The mob location will be announced a day in advance via evite to the membership.
  2. The date is a recurring one (2nd Thursday in April, July, October and January)
  3. The business must be a Member of the Marion Chamber of Commerce.
  4. The business is known to “give back” to the community.
  5. The business owner must approve the Social Mob before the mob is announced.
  6. Pictures will be posted to the Website and on Facebook after the Social Mob.
 
At the mob, there are three rules:
  1. While everyone aged 21 and over is encouraged to partake in drinks during the Social Mob, they are not obligated to do so.
  2. Bring business cards and meet three people you didn’t know before to network with;
  3. Post selfies and pics of the location to help promote their atmosphere, specialties, etc.

Note: The Social Mob (formerly known as Business Happy Hour) is held on the second Thursday of January, April, July, and October. The Dish Mob is held on the second Thursday in February, May, August, and November. The Cash Mob is held on the second Thursday in March, June, September and December. So, the 2nd Thursday of each month is now Marion Chamber Mob Day!
