2017 Employment Benefit Analysis Published for WIAD Region

Report Compares Employee Benefits Offered by Employers in Eight County Area

Benefits are a key driver in recruitment and job satisfaction. Organizations that fail to meet employees’ health and financial demands risk losing top talent to organizations with more complete coverage options. And in today’s economy of low-unemployment and numerous available opportunities, its important local businesses remain competitive.

One tool available to Carroll County organizations for better understanding where they sit in comparison to their peers and neighbors is the 2017 Employment Benefit Analysis.

“Our ultimate goal is to help all Carroll County organizations recruit and retain the employees they need to be successful. The Carroll Area Development Corporation (CADC) works to equip businesses with the resources they need to keep employees here in Carroll County, whether that’s applicable data or educational opportunities and training,” explains Shannon Landauer, executive director of the CADC.

The 2017 Employment Benefit Analysis is a 20-page report that highlights and compares employee benefits offered in Western Iowa Advantage’s eight-county region of Adair, Audubon, Carroll, Crawford, Greene, Guthrie, Ida and Sac counties. The data analyzed in this report was collected from 887 employers through the Workforce Needs Assessment Survey. The results of the survey were analyzed on both an overall and per industry basis.
Highlights from the report include: “Now that this information has been analyzed and the report has been released, we really encourage employers to look over this data for their use and knowledge. For CADC, we’ll use this information as we work to attract and recruit outside businesses considering Carroll County for relocation or expansion,” adds Landauer.
