Chamber Electricity Aggregation Program

Did you miss your chance to save BIG on your Ameren electric bills last spring?

Enroll your accounts this SUMMER!

OPEN ENROLLMENT PERIOD: June 26th—July 25th

The Marion Chamber of Commerce is running another “open enrollment” period for its members to save money on their Ameren bills. Working with Affordable Gas & Electric, LLC, and combing enrollments with members from 14 Central & Southern Illinois Chambers of Commerce, we will arrange for the purchase of electricity for the entire large group, leveraging the collective buying power to negotiate "bulk" electricity rates. We anticipate that participating businesses will save 10-20% or more on their electric rates.

What price will we receive by joining in the pool?
Volume is the key. And currently the pool consists of 150 Chamber of Commerce members representing nearly  25 million
kWh’s  annually. The more participants, the lower we can drive the  rate. It’s the small business owners who will get the
biggest benefit as they get to negotiate as if they were one large user.

Who is eligible?
Any Chamber member with property in the Ameren utility area. Ameren is a “delivery-only” utility, so you can choose to a
different  electric  supplier  often  at  a  cheaper  rate  than  Ameren.   Unfortunately,  accounts  in  Co-op  utility areas are not able to choose a different supplier, and will not be eligible for this program.
