Senator Erica Harriss Hosting Valentines for Seniors Card Drive

This Valentine’s Day, we have a heartwarming opportunity to spread love and joy to seniors in our community who could really use a little extra kindness through my Second Annual Valentines for Seniors Card Drive.

For many seniors, especially those who may be isolated or living in care facilities, these heartfelt gestures can be a beacon of light during a time when they might feel most alone. A Valentine’s Day card has the power to brighten their day, reminding them that they are loved, cared for, and remembered. We hope that you will participate by creating festive or decorated handwritten cards, encouraging and uplifting notes, or cheerful drawings.

Please drop off or mail Valentines to my legislative offices by February 7, 2025. My office staff and I will personally deliver these cards on your behalf before Valentine’s Day to senior citizens in local assisted-living and long-term care facilities in the 45th Senate District.

Cards can be dropped off or mailed to my district office, 120 N Main Street, Suite 1B, Edwardsville, IL 62025.

If you are interested in participating or have any questions, please contact Amanda Brown in my office at abrown@sgop.ilga.gov.

Thank you for your consideration. Whether someone is making cards themselves, encouraging others to participate, or spreading the word, everyone's involvement in this project will make a meaningful impact for those who need it most.

Sincerely,

Senator Erica Harriss
56th District of Illinois
