Edwardsville Police Department Announces Community Education Forum & Citizens Police Academy

The Edwardsville Police Department has scheduled its annual online Community Education Forum for 7PM Monday, January 13. If you've ever wondered how the city's police department operates, hires officers, deals with complaints, navigates current law enforcement challenges or simply have a question you want to ask, this one-hour online event is your opportunity to learn more. Police Chief Michael Fillback will host the forum, along with other members of his staff. Community members can join the forum online and submit questions about the department, to be answered as time allows.
Participants must register in advance for this Zoom webinar via THIS LINK.

The city's Citizens Police Academy will get underway Thursday, January 9. This series of 10 weekly sessions offers a hands-on exploration of law enforcement and is taught by our own officers. It's a terrific opportunity to immerse yourself in what it takes to be an officer. Learn more and register HERE.

Finally, If you know of someone who doesn't want to just learn about being an officer but wants to become one, EPD is hiring! It's a rewarding and challenging career, and the city of Edwardsville is a fantastic place to work. Interested individuals may REGISTER HERE through January 16 for the written test (required for all new recruits). The test will take place on February 1 in Edwardsville.
