We're inviting artists of ALL ages to participate in our Patriotic Art Show — a celebration of American pride through creativity, presented by Fayette County Art Connection and hosted at Alice Hudder's Gallery, Vandalia IL!

πŸ’° Entry fee: $7 per every 3 pieces
πŸ—“οΈ Drop off date: June 4th between 3:00–5:00 PM at Alice Hudders Gallery
πŸ–ΌοΈ Artwork pickup: July 3rd at the gallery

πŸ“Œ SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Fayette County Art Connection reserves the right to decline any entry at our discretion. Artwork containing the following will not be accepted:
-Obscene or pornographic content
-Imagery promoting violence, weapons, or  
 terrorism
-Defamatory or hateful content toward any 
 individual or group
-Content deemed inconsistent with the spirit 
 and values of a patriotic family friendly 
 exhibition
-All decisions made by FCAC are final.

πŸ“Œ ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
-All hanging artwork must be framed and wired to hang — please no sawtooth hangers.
-No size limit
-No limit on number of pieces entered
-Artwork must be original and your own work
-All ages welcome
-Artists may choose to price their work for sale or display only — your choice!
-By entering, I give permission for my artwork to be photographed and posted on social media for the People's Choice vote.

πŸ† JUDGING & PRIZES
Entries will be judged with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards in each category — plus a People's Choice Award! Pick up a paper ballot at the show and vote for your favorite piece. The artist with the most votes takes home the People's Choice title!

Acrylic, oil, or watercolor — flags, eagles, landscapes in red/white/blue, the Statue of Liberty, historical scenes, veterans, fireworks, parades, or your own patriotic vision.

✏️ Drawing
Pencil, ink, charcoal, or pen — portraits of soldiers or veterans, Uncle Sam, national monuments, patriotic scenes, or abstract designs inspired by American symbols.

πŸ–οΈ Colored Pencil
Detailed and vibrant — perfect for flags, portraits, wildlife like the Bald Eagle, or scenic Americana landscapes.

πŸ“· Photography
Capture patriotism through your lens — flags flying, veterans, parades, fireworks, memorials, small-town Americana, or candid moments of community and pride.

πŸͺ΅ Wood Carving
Eagles, flags, patriotic figures, relief carvings of historical scenes, or decorative patriotic signs and plaques.

πŸ”₯ Wood Burning (Pyrography)
Burn patriotic imagery into wood — eagles, flags, portraits, maps, or inspirational American quotes.

🏺 Clay
Hand-built or sculpted pieces — patriotic figures, relief tiles, ornamental eagles, or abstract sculptural interpretations of freedom and democracy.

πŸ—Ώ Sculpture / 3D Art
Any material — wire, found objects, mixed materials, papier-mâché — shaped into patriotic figures, symbols, or conceptual pieces about American life.

🎨 Mixed Media / Crafts
Collage, string art, mosaics, assemblage, hand-painted ornaments, fabric art — combine materials to create something uniquely yours with a patriotic theme.

πŸͺŸ Mosaics
Tile, glass, paper, or found material mosaics depicting flags, maps, patriotic symbols, or American landscapes.
