Celebrate Irish heritage all day long at Missoula’s annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration, a vibrant community tradition filled with music, sport, faith, food, and fun for all ages.
The festivities begin at 8 a.m. with a traditional Irish Mass at St. Francis Xavier Church, followed by the lively St. Patrick’s Day Parade at noon through downtown Missoula. From 1–3 p.m., enjoy a free carousel ride at A Carousel for Missoula (Dragon Hollow), perfect for families, and at 1:30 p.m. head to Washington–Grizzly Stadium for an exciting hurling match (1:30–2:30 p.m.) showcasing Ireland’s fast-paced and ancient national sport. At 2 p.m., savor the spirit of Ireland during an Irish whiskey tasting at The Rhino, featuring fine whiskeys rooted in a 3,000-year distilling tradition, then cap off the day from 6–9:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Downtown Missoula, where the Friends of Irish Studies in the West host their annual Banquet and Auction with authentic Irish food, music, drink, and dance in support of the Irish Studies program at the University of Montana.
This full day of festivities is proudly brought to you by the Friends of Irish Studies in the West and the Ancient Order of Hibernians, and all are invited to join the celebration in the heart of Missoula.
