Our first book is Frank Herbert’s Dune, widely hailed as one of the greatest novels of the science fiction genre—and just in time for the release of the new motion picture directed by Denis Villeneuve of Blade Runner 2049 and starring Timothée Chalamet.

Join us this Fall for a new book club at FPL just for teens. Our first book is Frank Herbert’s Dune, widely hailed as one of the greatest novels of the science fiction genre—and just in time for the release of the new motion picture directed by Denis Villeneuve of Blade Runner 2049 and starring Timothée Chalamet.
Club members can begin reading in mid-September with our discussion meeting planned for Saturday, October 16th from 3-4pm. Snacks and drinks will be provided. For $2, you can borrow Dune inter-library loaned from another Iowa library. We will have 5 available—Let us know if you would like one.
