Monroeville Water Works stands ready to serve you with an abundant, clean and safe water supply. Monroeville is fortunate to have a plentiful supply of water from the Nanafalia aquifer. However, ensuring clean water from this source requires hard work and constant vigilance, as well as proper handling and treatment of wastewater from our homes and industries.
The distribution system includes (6) six deep well pumps with a combined pumping capacity of approximately 6,500 gallons per minute and (4) elevated storage facilities with a combined capacity of 3 million gallons. The water is treated using only chlorine and fluoride.
Monroeville Water Works also supplies drinking water to customers in the Peterman area and supplies wholesale water to the Mexia community.
