Harlan Dental has three dental hygienists on staff to guide and educate you with all of your dental needs. All of our hygienists are licensed by the state of Iowa’s Dental Board and have successfully graduated from accredited dental hygiene programs.   
The role of the dental hygienist is to educate and treat patients with all of their periodontal treatment needs, take dental radiographs, perform oral cancer screenings and administer local anesthetic injections (numbing).

Dental hygienists are a pivotal part of your overall care. Our hygienists work as a team with our Dentist to identify any possible issues dentally or systemically that may be occurring. A team approach leads to the best possible care for all of our patients.
