Urban League of Greater Pittsburgh, Duquesne Family Support
Home
The Duquesne Family Support Center is a program of the Urban League of Greater Pittsburgh and has served families in Duquesne and West Mifflin for 12 years. The center focuses on families with children ages 0-5, but all are welcome. Funded by the Allegheny County Department of Human Services, we are one of 30 family support centers across Allegheny County. Laying the foundation for school readiness and success is one of the key outcomes of this program. Others include: developmental assessments and referral to early intervention services for children 0-5, health insurance assistance, and encouraging healthy prenatal habits resulting in normal birth weight of babies. To achieve these outcomes, we provide home visiting, center-based activities and referrals.
