CORE @ The Camptonville Academy is a Personalized Learning public charter school serving Kindergarten through high school since 1998. We design a unique educational program to meet the needs of every student. Choice of curriculum, hands-on-labs, classes, clubs, parent workshops, community involvement, and college and career support are part of the program. There is no cost to attend our school.
Families work closely with a credentialed teacher discussing with them their hopes, dreams, talents, skills and challenges. Our model allows students to move ahead in a particular subject, and also gives the support needed when students are struggling.
Our high school program is fully WASC Accredited offering college prep / UC a-g course offerings. Career Technical Education is offered in aerospace, computer science, computer design. We also partner with Yuba College & Sacramento City College for dual enrollment. Over 25% of our high school students take one or more college classes each year.
CORE's Aerospace STEM Program was developed in partnership with the Northern California Aerospace Initiative. Middle-school students can attend the STEM Academy and have academic instruction integrated with aerospace STEM (science, technology, engineering, adn mathematics), Rocketry, computer coding, robotics, electronics, UAVs, and CAD are all part of the program. High school students can earn college credit while they achieve FAA certification in flight and/or certification to commercially fly UAVs.
