The McKeesport Salvation Army Corps offers humanitarian relief and Christian counsel for the welfare of the local community. We offer children and adult programming which caters to the needs of individuals physically, emotionally, and spiritually; treating the whole person inside and out.
Some specific examples of our services include the following:
- Weekly Soup Kitchen (Fridays @12pm, Saturdays @12pm & Sunday Breakfast @9am & Dinner @2pm)
- Emergency Food Pantry to qualified clients in need (Mon-Fri 9am-3pm)
- Homeless Feeding Initiative: Weekly Mobile Soup Kitchen offering food and supplies to the homeless of McKeesport
- Emergency Disaster Services: On call response to 911 emergencies ministering to the care of emergency first responders and victims.
- Financial Assistance to qualified clients in need (Mon-Fri 9am-3pm)
- Seasonal Assistance including: Back to School (September); Project Bundle-Up (Oct); Christmas (Nov-Dec); Summer Camp (May-Aug)
- Weekly Programs: Worship Services (Sun 10am-12pm); SPARK Youth (Tues 5-7pm); Prayer Chain (Wed 5:30pm); Bible Study (Wed 6pm); Women's Ministries (Thurs 2pm)
- Support Services: Monthly Advisory Board meetings and Women's Auxiliary - aiding in raising funds and support from the local community in order to maintain the ongoing operations
- Discipleship and Ministry Training for Members
- Pastoral Christian Counseling
