The Breast Center at Carondelet St. Mary’s is the hub of comprehensive care for women’s breast health needs, focused on prevention, early detection and expert treatment of breast disease, such as breast cancer.

Our commitment to quality care is evidenced by our national accreditations. The Breast Center is a participating member of the National Quality Measures for Breast Centers (NQMBC) and has been designated a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence (BICOE) by the American College of Radiology (ACR).

Women can obtain screening mammograms at Carondelet Imaging Center locations throughout Tucson and Green Valley. If follow-up care is necessary, The Breast Center at St. Mary’s is equipped to perform breast biopsies using MRI, ultrasound or a stereotactic guided procedure. Carondelet Imaging Center central location is also able to perform ultrasound guided biopsies. If treatment is necessary, our patients receive comprehensive care from a top-notch team of radiologists, pathologists, oncologists and surgeons who specialize in breast care, diagnosis and treatment.

Our breast cancer patients are also cared for by our Patient Navigator, who works with each patient to make the process a little easier. The Patient Navigator guides patients to resources, explains treatment options and provides encouragement and support -- from diagnosis to recovery, all at no charge to our patients or their insurance companies.
