New Day Cottages offers an alternative to large senior assisted living facilities.  Our two assisted living facilities in Northern Colorado Springs offer a warm, welcoming environment giving our residents a place they can truly call home.  Our ranch style homes offer a central community area promoting resident interaction throughout the day. The entire living space, inside and out, is on one level to help ensure our resident’s safety.  Our homes provide residents wide pathways and tastefully selected safety features are complimented by bright and beautiful finishes.

Our assisted living services are tailored to the specific needs of each individual as well as guidance and support for the families. With compassionate CNA trained staff monitoring our residents throughout the day and night, changes in their health needs are addressed immediately, giving families peace of mind knowing their loved one is well cared for.

There are many options to consider when searching for the right home for your loved one, and it’s a daunting task to wade through them all. We believe in the importance and benefit of being a part of a family. While large assisted living facilities offer apartment living, numerous activities and restaurant-style dining the drawbacks for residents include long hallways, elevators, the difficulty of forming supportive relationships with staff, and the ease of “hiding out” by themselves.

At New Day Cottages our residents are a part of a family, sharing their days with their peers, enjoying the benefits of belonging to a caring group, and experiencing life’s pleasures and challenges together. The biggest challenge for seniors is dealing with loneliness, so we address this by creating opportunities for interaction throughout the day in the intimacy of a beautiful home. Our seniors enjoy home-cooked meals in a bright dining room and often stay visiting with one another long after they have finished eating. With only 11 residents, our staff is able to know each resident on a personal level, allowing them to tend to their emotional as well as physical needs. This is what we mean by “think small”.
