In 1973, Featherlite pioneered the first all-aluminum gooseneck trailer, and the company was officially established that year in Oklahoma. Featherlite began manufacturing operations in Cresco in 1979. Since 1993, Cresco, Iowa has been the official home and headquarters of Featherlite Trailers. 

Today, Featherlite is a national leader in designing and manufacturing horse, stock, car, recreational and utility trailers, as well as business-to-business specialty trailers, command centers and professional racecar transporters. Featherlite has over 100 Featherlite dealers to service customers throughout the U.S. and Canada, in addition to its specialty inside sales team.
