Shoshone County Community Concert Association (SCCCA) produces and presents musical events in north Idaho in the communities of Kellogg and Wallace. SCCCA is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) organization which has been dedicated to bringing quality music to north Idahos Silver Valley for more than 70 years.
Family-appropriate concerts are typically held during late-September to mid-November and late-February to late-April. Venues are school gyms/multi-purpose rooms and small churches. Most concerts begin at 3:00 pm Sunday afternoons.
Audience members are mostly residents of Shoshone County and nearby areas. However, members of other Community Concert Associations are welcomed through reciprocity, a courtesy extended by some Community Concert Associations to one another. We receive information about those offering reciprocity in Idaho, western Montana, Washington, Oregon, and northern California.
SCCCA is managed entirely by volunteers. Artist selections are made by the SCCCA Board of Directors from Nashville-based Live on Stage rosters, regional ensembles, and New York City-based Piatigorsky Foundation musicians. SCCCA strives to present a varied and balanced program each season and from year to year, ranging from classical and country to popular, jazz and beyond.
