At Pain Relief Associates, we specialize in the treatment of pain for patients suffering from acute or chronic pain.  Pain is something most people will experience from time to time, but what does a patient do when the pain won't go away?  Finding the best pain treatment means first finding the right type of office. Pain Management, Pain Control, Pain Relief, or Pain Clinic are just a few of the headings pain treatment clinics will go under; however, ask the right questions to ensure that you have chosen the best office to give you relief of back pain, headaches, or arthritis pain.

A clinic or center may be called a "Pain Clinic", but may only offer alternative therapies such as acupuncture and massage.  Other clinics under the same heading may be physicians offering only medication to manage the pain, but no therapy or rehab to correct the underlying cause of the pain.  For many years, patients had to choose from facilities that offered only a limited scope of pain treatment.  The causes of back pain, neck pain, headaches, knee pain, shoulder pain, and many other neuro-musculo-skeletal conditions have a broad range from patient to patient.  We know that the treatment of those conditions must also have a broad range of pain treatment tools.

Long lasting pain relief comes from rehabilitation from the underlying cause.  The proper rehab may need to follow pain management procedures such as epidural injections, facet injections, or pain medication.  This combination therapy may be the fastest pain relief.  It may also be the longest lasting pain relief.  For another patient, they may just need minor changes to their work environment advised by our physicians, along with simple stretch recommendations.

Choose a center that will have the broadest range of pain treatment services possible for the treatment of pain.  Back pain is the number one reason for missed work today, and the causes of back pain can be complicated.  Pain Relief Associates has done what few other centers have done.  By incorporating the latest in non-surgical back pain treatment along with pain management procedures, we are able to help many patients who were recommended for surgery not only avoid surgery, but do it in an almost pain free and comfortable way.  There are times that surgery is necessary, however, there are times it is recommended only because patients think they have exhausted all of their options.  Surgery can and should be a last resort, but because back surgery is so invasive, we recommend that you explore all options to avoid surgery for pain.

We see many patients in our pain management office who have had failed back surgery, sometimes feeling worse than prior to the surgery.  Many times, it is more difficult, and at times impossible, depending on the surgery, to alleviate a patient's pain after surgery through rehabilitation and pain management.  It is not rare to see spinal fusions, disc replacement, or laminectomy surgery cause new types of pain, possibly in addition to the original back pain complaint the patient had.  We feel you should be aggressive in finding the right doctors to treat your pain before you end up with a permanent, painful condition.

So, whether you just woke up with pain yesterday, or you've been suffering with pain for years, our goal is to help you get your life back and be able to do the things you want and need to do.  We accomplish this by first performing a thorough examination to find the underlying cause of your pain.  Once we can identify where the root of your problem is coming from, we can put together a comprehensive treatment plan.  This plan may include a combination of physical and chemical treatments, all designed to not only get you out of pain as fast as possible, but also to correct and stabilize your condition so you can continue to feel good for years to come.

Don't continue to live with your pain.  Be encouraged that there may be an answer to your specific pain problems.  Call us today at 636-978-3000, and let's find out if we can help you live a better life!
