The Foundation emerged in 1984 with a vision to establish itself as the central resource for philanthropy in the Midlands. Since then, through the generosity of our donors, we have given more than $90 million to organizations nationwide and have invested time and resources in identifying the critical needs within our community.

The Foundation receives gifts and bequests from individuals, families, businesses and organizations. These donations make up our $93 million philanthropic endowment. The money is pooled and invested for maximum growth and impact, and we use the income generated to award grants that support charitable organizations in our community.

Our donors are often looking to give back to the community but don’t have time to research and vet every organization. We work with investors to ensure that their dollars support causes they believe in and go to legitimate organizations.
