Mark Paris is the Managing Member of the Elko office. Mark was born and raised on a ranch in Elko and White Pine Counties and is a graduate of Elko High School. He graduated from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington, in 1982 with a bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting. He then spent two years employed by the national public accounting firm of Deloitte, Haskins, and Sells in Las Vegas before joining McMullen, McPhee & Company in November of 1984. Mark has more than 35 years of experience servicing a variety of clients, with an emphasis on taxation and estate planning for ranchers, farmers, and various family-owned businesses. Mark is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Nevada Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Nevada Cattlemen's Association. Mark is very active in the Elko Community and currently serves as Treasurer of the Elko Lions Club, and Elko Council 2511 of the Knights of Columbus. He is also a past president of the Elko Chamber of Commerce.
The accounting firm of McMullen, McPhee & Company, LLC has been in practice for more than 40 years. However, the Firm name and office locations have changed since its inception. On September 1, 1982, the Elko branch of the national accounting firm of Grant Thornton was sold and became McMullen, McPhee & Company. It was named after Samuel C. McMullen and Theodore N. McPhee.
