Founded in 1994 by Ken and Becky Miller, the winery began when they purchased the former Boone Country Winery and brought with them the spirit of their Kirkwood roots, naming their new venture after Sugar Creek Valley, where they once planned to build their dream home. Surrounded by scenic views of the Missouri River Valley, the winery quickly became a welcoming retreat where guests can relax, sip, and feel right at home.

Their son, Chris Lorch, leads the winemaking and operations, drawing on his experience in Napa Valley to craft award-winning wines that reflect both skill and heart.
