Connecting People & Places

At Connecting People & Places (CP&P), we believe that meaningful connections are the cornerstone of a fulfilling life. Established in 2016, CP&P is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to supporting individuals with Developmental Disabilities (DD) in building relationships and engaging with their communities. We understand the unique challenges faced by individuals with DD and are committed to removing barriers that prevent them from experiencing the joys of connection and inclusion. By fostering these relationships, we enhance personal growth, independence, and overall quality of life for those we serve.

Our mission is rooted in the understanding that personal development flourishes when individuals feel connected to people and places that resonate with their values and interests. At CP&P, we provide the resources, support, and opportunities needed to help individuals with DD form these vital connections. Whether it’s participating in community activities, developing friendships, or engaging in meaningful pursuits, our goal is to ensure that each person we support has the chance to lead a fulfilling and integrated life. Our collaborative approach emphasizes overcoming obstacles that hinder social inclusion, and fostering a sense of belonging for everyone.

Through strategic partnerships, including our collaboration with Thompson Total Home Care, CP&P is creating a robust network of community members, certified service providers, family, and friends. This network allows us to cultivate opportunities for individuals with DD to engage in activities they enjoy and connect with people who enrich their lives. Together, we are building a supportive environment where inclusion, cooperation, and mutual respect empower individuals to achieve their full potential and contribute to the community in meaningful ways.
