In 1972, Darryl Kirbo embarked on the journey of Kirbo’s Office Systems, initially a solo venture specializing in typewriters, catering to the communities of San Angelo and Brownwood, TX. The company witnessed significant expansion in 1981 when Bruce Stewart joined after an engineering stint at GTE. With the advent of computer technology in the mid-80s, Darryl and Bruce pivoted towards copiers, securing Kirbo’s position as an authorized dealer for Canon, and later integrating Lexmark printers to meet the escalating demand.
