Families in Crisis, Inc.
Families In Crisis, Inc. (FIC) stands as a stalwart pillar of support for individuals and families facing the daunting challenges of family violence, sexual violence, and homelessness across Bell, Coryell, and Hamilton counties in Texas. Founded in 1980, FIC has evolved from a grassroots initiative into a dynamic non-profit organization, committed to providing sanctuary, empowerment, and comprehensive services to those in need. Through a mission-driven approach guided by values of trust, honesty, dedication, and respect, FIC envisions a community where individuals find solace and security within its shelters and services, fostering restoration, wholeness, and self-sufficiency for all who seek assistance.

From the establishment of its flagship Killeen shelter in 1983 to the opening of additional outreach offices and shelters, FIC has remained at the forefront of providing critical support to survivors of family/sexual violence, veterans and their families, and the homeless and at-risk populations. Through a holistic array of resources, including emergency shelter, transitional housing assistance, crisis intervention counseling, and life skills classes, FIC is dedicated to empowering individuals on their journey toward healing and independence. With a steadfast commitment to serving with compassion, integrity, and unwavering dedication, FIC continues to make a profound difference in the lives of those it serves, building a brighter future where every individual has the opportunity to thrive.
