New Beginnings Assembly of God
Belonging precedes belief, much like the natural nurturing found in a truly warm and welcoming home. Before our beliefs even start to take shape, we are cared for and nurtured, mirroring the spiritual realm. Our calling is to make a difference in the world through our love for one another. Hence, we prioritize creating a sense of belonging, especially for those who may feel uncertain about the church—be they newcomers or those returning after a hiatus. Our gatherings welcome not only those familiar with church life but everyone.
The journey continues with believing. Instead of setting forth rules and expecting immediate adherence, we embrace a more reflective approach. We encourage questioning and mentor-guided reflection, allowing individuals to develop deep, personal convictions based on genuine experiences rather than merely adopting taught doctrines. This nurturing approach fosters disciples who embody their beliefs, not just students reciting the "correct" answers. We believe that true life begins with such profound personal conviction.
Finally, we arrive at becoming. The transition from believing to becoming signifies a deep internalization of personal beliefs, which then manifest externally. Superficial beliefs rarely lead to significant life changes. In contrast, deeply held, passionate convictions naturally overflow into one's life actions, simply because they cannot be contained as mere internal beliefs. This is the essence of true transformation.
