Toby Tatum, a distinguished professional with a wealth of experience in business management and appraisal, is the co-founder of Alliance Business Appraisal based in Fort Mohave, Arizona. Toby's journey to success began with his academic achievements, earning a bachelor’s degree in Management from Sonoma State University and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from San Francisco State University.

Following his education, Toby and his brother Tom ventured into the restaurant industry by purchasing their parents’ Sizzler Family Steak House in Santa Rosa, California. Through their hard work and dedication, they expanded their business to own six Sizzler locations, employing over two hundred seventy-five individuals and serving a million customers annually. Toby's contributions extended beyond the operational aspects of the business as he served on the National Sizzler Franchisee Association Board of Trustees and the California Restaurant Association’s Board of Directors.

Transitioning from the restaurant industry, Toby pursued further professional development by obtaining designations such as Certified Business Intermediary from the International Business Brokers’ Association, licensed real estate broker in Nevada specializing in small business sales, Certified Business Appraiser from the Institute of Business Appraisers, and Certified Valuation Analyst from the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts.

Toby's expertise has been recognized through various leadership roles including serving on the Institute of Business Appraisers Board of Directors and as former Editor-In-Chief of their quarterly journal. He has also authored multiple books and peer-reviewed articles within professional business appraiser journals while being sought after as a guest speaker at numerous industry conferences.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Toby is an esteemed member of Mensa and Veterans of Foreign Wars. His military service includes combat duty with the First Air Cavalry Division, United States Army during which he was awarded the Bronze Star for his exemplary service.
