The inception of Clayco Solar stemmed from Clay’s personal experience of wanting to install solar on his own home. Faced with overpriced equipment, pushy sales reps, and limited DIY options with unqualified contractors, Clay saw a gap in the market for affordable, high-quality solar solutions. Leveraging his background in electrical contracting, Clay successfully installed a solar system on his home, realizing significant savings and benefits. Inspired by this success, he began offering solar installation services to friends and family, which eventually blossomed into the thriving business we are today.
