Georgia Restaurant Association
The Georgia Restaurant Association (GRA) has been representing the state's dining establishments since 1906. In 1972, it merged with the Georgia Travel Association (GATA) and the Georgia Hotel and Lodging Association (GHLA) to form the Georgia Hospitality & Travel Association (GHTA). In 2003, recognizing the need for independent representation, a group of restaurateurs established the Georgia Restaurant Council (GRC), which later merged with the GRA. The GRA evolved to its current form, advocating for Georgia's restaurant industry, with key figures such as Karen Bremer, Phil Hickey, and Niko Karatassos playing pivotal roles.
The mission of the Georgia Restaurant Association is to represent Georgia's restaurants as their voice in advocacy, education, and awareness efforts.
