At Path United, our focus is on establishing community centers within mobile home parks, with a primary emphasis on engaging Hispanic youth. Currently, we operate in Gwinnett, Walton, Hall, and Barrow counties. 

Why Do We Do What We Do?

• THE PROBLEM

Most children living in mobile home park communities in the US are not growing up to become flourishing adults. This is a result of many factors including lack of access to positive adult relationships and the lack of basic academic, social, and emotional skills needed to succeed in school and in life. As a result, they're stuck in the status quo of surviving rather than thriving. 

• THE SOLUTION

But there is a solution - a better way forward that's centered on what we call the 5 Ingredients to Flourishing. We believe that God desires for all people to thrive. But what does that look like? After a decade of learning, we've discovered five key ingredients to helping kids grow into the adults God created them to be.

1. Relationship with God
- EVERY CHILD NEEDS to know that God loves them, God loves others, and that God has a plan for their life.

2. Multiple Positive Adult Relationships
EVERY CHILD NEEDS regular, meaningful interactions with the adults in their
lives -- parents, teachers, coaches, pastors, Path staff, and more.

3. Strong Reading Skills
EVERY CHILD NEEDS to become a great reader. This basic skill builds confidence and is the foundation for all future academic achievement.

4. Social & Emotional Health
EVERY CHILD NEEDS the essential social & emotional skills to be successful beyond the classroom. Character development is key to a lifetime of thriving.

5. Vision for the Future
EVERY CHILD NEEDS to be able to see beyond their current circumstances. Exposure to new ideas, people, & places expands their view of who they could become.
