Lum's Barbecue
In 1976, my Grandfather Louis Lumbley, and Father Richard Lumbley made the transition from Houston to Junction, TX, embarking on the journey of opening Lum’s Country Store. Lum’s initially emerged as a unique blend, part convenience store, part gas station, with a side offering of barbecue. This fusion of gas station convenience and barbecue tradition holds its rich narrative in Texas lore, though that's a tale for another time. Over the passing years and through successive generations, the focus gradually shifted away from this dual identity towards a more conventional barbecue establishment. Now, with my brother Nicholas Lumbley and me leading the charge, our singular dedication lies in crafting the finest culinary offerings possible. In my humble estimation, having immersed ourselves in the world of barbecue for countless years, I dare say we've honed our craft quite admirably.
