In June of 1989 Craig and Debbie Carter purchased Awards by C&L from the original owners, Cotton and Linda Robinett. Debbie had worked for the original owners for years already helping to establish a loyal customer base. It is due to their customers loyalty that Craig and Debbie felt it necessary to keep the name Awards by C&L.

Throughout the years Awards by C&L has grown along with the West Valley, adding employees, product lines, machinery, and even moving to a larger retail space. C&L’s most experienced employee Rick Hernandez has been with C&L since 1994. Growing along with C&L Rick has gone from a part-timer, high school student to a full-time employee with a college degree and expertise in all of our product lines. Rick has been joined by his wife Sara along with other full and part-time employees, helping make Awards by C&L a truly family run business.

C&L’s original product line included only Trophies, Ribbons and other Awards, since then we have added custom imprinted items. Awards by C&L now offers a variety of T-shirts, Hats, Jackets and Polo’s (including exclusive brands: Antigua, Cutter & Buck, Ashworth and Callaway Golf). As a member of the Advertising Specialty Institute we can also offer a wide range of promotional products. The small store that started with one engraving table has expanded to keep up with demand. We now have two engraving tables and a 50 watt laser engraver. With added equipment came the need for added space, so after spending our first 15 years at our original location C&L moved to our current location at 8273 W. Washington. With over 3,000 square feet at our disposal C&L has room to continue grow.
