Inspiring the hope of recovery and deepening the understanding of mental health conditions for individuals, families and communities

No one chooses to struggle with mental health, and no one who struggles should do it alone.

NAMI of Southeast Wisconsin fills a significant and growing need in our community. We meet people where they are, and provide hope and help, compassion and encouragement, resources and education to those impacted by mental health conditions – at no cost to individuals or families.  High-impact, evidence-based programs and services are offered Waukesha, Milwaukee, and Jefferson counties

PEER SUPPORT GROUPS- led by trained specialists with lived experience for parents, family & friends, or individuals struggling with mental health conditions.

PROGRAMS- 6-week or 8-week-long programs or seminars taught by certified leaders with lived experience. Programs meet in-person or virtually and include activities, and discussions to connect you with others who share your experience. Offered at no cost to participants.
 
CRISIS INTERVENTION TRAINING- Provides law enforcement/first responders with education/training in the most effective and compassionate response possible to police situations involving people experiencing a mental health crisis.

CHAPTER 51 COURT SUPPORT- provides outreach for individuals and their families and friends who are going through an involuntary commitment process due to a serious and persistent mental health condition.

PATH- Service plans, case management and advocacy for individuals living with a pervasive mental health diagnosis who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. 

SOAR- SSI/SSDI Outreach, Access and Recovery (SOAR) for adults at risk of homelessness and who have a mental illness or substance use disorder.
