Frank Sterling Little is the founder of Carpets-4-U. He was born in Bonavista Newfoundland and moved to the United States in 1957 with his wife of five years, Margie and their two year old son, Dennis. In 2008 Frank and Margie celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Frank, Margie and Dennis, tired of the cold weather, moved to Anaheim California in 1962 and settled in apartments very close to Disneyland. It was there that their second child, Linda was born. Soon after moving in, Frank knew everyone on the block and was well liked by neighbors and the owner of the apartment building.

The apartment owner was so impressed by Frank's friendliness and recognized his ability to work with others and his strong work ethic, he offered him a job. Frank worked as an apartment manager for three years. One day the owner came to Frank with a problem. The carpet cleaner did not show up and the new tenants were moving in the next day. Frank was a problem solver and let the owner of the apartment know that he could rent a carpet cleaner unit and do it himself. the owner replied, do you know how to clean carpets. Frank replied, no, but I have watched him on several occasions and it is not difficult. It's not more difficult than driving a fully loaded dump truck on the Alaskan Tundra or working the controls of a 10 ton crane over an open canal or driving a cab in New York city or flying a private plane, all of which Frank had done.

Over the next 15 years Frank rapidly expanded from cleaning carpeting to owning one of the largest carpet stores in Orange County, sending out 15 jobs a day form Venture to San Diego. Frank retired in 1982. In 1984 Frank's son, Dennis, urged his father to come out of retirement and they started Carpets-4-U, retailing high quality carpets at wholesale prices. Over the next 25 years a lot changed. In 1987, Linda, Frank's daughter joined the team and used her college experience in design to help customers redesign kitchen and bathrooms. In 1988 Dennis wife, Marilena left the banking industry to become the company's accountant and CFO. In 1992 Margie, Frank's wife, came on board to run the showroom and take care of customer sales. Gary, Linda's husband joined the family business in 1996, he is a top sales person and is responsible for customer service, ensuring customer satisfaction in product and installation.
