The life sciences industry today is one of New Jerseys premier economic drivers.  Twelve of the worlds top 20 biopharmaceutical companies and 11 of the worlds top 20 medical technology companies maintain a significant presence in New Jersey.

The biopharmaceutical and medical technologies sectors annually generate a combined 83.4 billion in economic output for New Jersey. More than 74,700 New Jersey jobs are directly supported by the biopharmaceutical and medical tech sectors. About 319,200 New Jersey jobs are supported, directly or indirectly, by those two sectors.

Founded in 1997, HINJ serves as the trade association for the leading research-based biopharmaceutical and medical technology companies in New Jersey, including many of the worlds largest as well as smaller, growing companies (listed here).
