The RIDE Program was established in 1993 and is a non-profit organization designed to provide equine activities to children and adults who are developmentally, emotionally, mentally and/or physically challenged.

The benefits of equine activities are many! Increased self-awareness, self-confidence, and improved self-concept occurs through the interaction and bonding with horses, professional instructors, and other riders. Equine interventions are especially beneficial for individuals who suffer from neurosensory conditions, such as anxiety, stress, depression, and PTSD, and physical disorders such as Parkinson’s, cerebral palsy, and Down’s Syndrome.

Equine activities are special because they are an intervention that is accessible to clients of all ages and abilities.
