Dieterich Bank was chartered on November 15, 1909. Originally named The First National Bank of Dieterich, the bank showed dedication to its employees and community, and provided crucial financial service to local farmers, merchants, and the people of the Village of Dieterich. The bank continued to grow serving Dieterich, IL and eventually began its expansion to other communities in 1996.

Today, we serve 12 communities in Illinois - Waterloo, Columbia, Red Bud, Chester, Breese, Edwardsville, St. Elmo, Lake Sara, Effingham, Teutopolis, Newton, and Dieterich - with 13, soon to be 14, branches. Our newest branch is set to open in Downtown Waterloo in July 2024.

In 2022, we launched the Dieterich Bank Difference Campaign, to keep our mission statement top of mind. We believe that our customers are our valued neighbors and integral community members, community involvement and volunteerism is a transformative power for the individuals and communities we serve, and our people are the friendly faces and caring individuals that will ensure you feel welcomed in our branches. These aspects are what set Dieterich Bank apart from other financial institutions and what makes the difference in The Dieterich Bank Difference.

We invite you to stop by, have a coffee, and chat with our staff about how Dieterich Bank could make a difference in your financial journey.
