Edward Jones

It seems like yesterday – I had just graduated from college and landed my first real job. Someone from HR handed me a 401(k)-enrollment package and encouraged me to take advantage of the employer match. Unfortunately, I wasn't offered any advice and I didn't know the difference between large caps and small caps – let alone how to put together an investment strategy.

Fast forward 13 years – I was still contributing to a 401(k) and taking advantage of the employer match. Professionally, I was in a great spot. And personally, my wife and I had just started a family. By this time, we were even working with two personal financial advisors. But no one still had explained the importance of developing a strategy that helped us accomplish both our short- and long-term financial goals. Shortly thereafter, I decided to pursue a career as a financial advisor.

Helping others is ultimately what led me to Edward Jones. To better serve my clients, I received the Accredited Asset Management Specialist™ professional designation. The College for Financial Planning awards the AAMS® designation to individuals who successfully complete a 12-module professional education program, pass a final examination, commit to its code of ethics and agree to pursue continuing education.
