Friends of Fox Run Park
Home

We are a non-profit organization to exemplify educational opportunities for the park’s characteristics, ie historical facts regarding the trees and usage of the land by the American Indians of the area.  Also, to have volunteer events for clean-up and trail building, working with the County employees to augment their efforts for creating a safe and multi-dimensional experience in the park.

We have created an email list of people who are interested in the park and helping to further the interest of local residents who visit the park and parks in the area for continued recreation.  We have people manning booths at events and listings in the local newspaper and social media.  Our participants have been from high-school students, families and retired people who are involved in the betterment of
Fox Run Park

We have monthly meetings at a building in the park or also, at an art gallery where the owner has provided a venue for our meetings during the winter months.  We discuss and plan monthly events in the park such as; clean-up days, walks in the park, educational lectures – the life cycle of ponderosa pines, mushrooms, birds and other animals in the park.  We also work with members who use the dog park and parents whose children utilize the soccer fields and other athletic activities.

Our membership fees for the Friends Group will be are $20 for individual and $35 for a family for a year.  We will do some fund raising through corporate giving such as; Kohls, Wells Fargo and other businesses in the area.
