Greater Margaretville Chamber Website Launched by DTi

[Margaretville, NY] – [05/2/2008] –The Greater Margaretville Chamber of Commerce has an all-new community website, The site, designed by DTi (, is created to promote Chamber members and the community. Chamber members can offer their services, as well as organize events throughout the Chamber itself, making it an extremely effective tool for the entire community.

“Members of any Chamber of Commerce have many expectations concerning organization, advocacy, and support when joining the chamber. In the case of the Greater Margaretville Chamber of Commerce, those expectations are matched with a single tool. DTi did a fantastic job”, said Carol O'Beirne the Chamber’s Executive Director. “It’s integrated around a powerful backend software solution, customized specifically for the Chamber, allowing a whole smorgasbord of features.”

Automated back and front end billing, mailing lists and management features reduce the workload of the Chamber’s staff, along with a complex events calendar. Web updates are easily performed by Chamber staff from any PC with web access. Changes made to the events, the member/business directory, and Chamber member websites are applied to the “mobile” version of the Chamber’s site automatically. The mobile version of the site allows the entire community and tourists to find local business and events ‘on the fly’ via cell phone.

Members can easily communicate and collaborate, and are notified automatically of events that apply to them. This all-in-one solution also greatly assists in promoting each Chamber member. It provides an Internet advertising system, helping direct Internet traffic to local businesses with a service that allows members to create their own web page. It is free for members, offering a small site that can be built in 10 simple steps online. The Chamber will also provide a domain name as a benefit of Chamber membership. These “member sites” will give visitors a basic idea of member businesses and the services they provide, contact information, as well as links to their existing websites if applicable. Video ads and commercials can be added as well, driving traffic to the business’s main website.

By logging in, members can submit job openings, press releases, use the message boards, participate in surveys, update their member site, change and add the categories under which they are listed, pay their dues, register and pay for events and much more. In addition, members can offer special promotional sales, deals, product/inventory and detailed information about the services and products they offer through the Chamber’s community shopping site. With such a comprehensive arsenal of promotional and organization tools, the value of the Chamber membership increases exponentially.

The Greater Margaretville Chamber of Commerce looks forward to all of their members taking full advantage of the new and improved website. Members will benefit from the innovative features and broad tools available on the site, and businesses will grow and become more publicized by working collaboratively.
