Event Name:
Decorah Public Library announces September book discussions
Description
The Friday Book Group will meet at 2:00 p.m. Fri. Sept. 20th on the 2nd floor of the library to discuss David Grann’s “Killers of the Flower Moon.” In the 1920s, the richest people per capita in the world were members of the Osage Indian Nation in Oklahoma. When they began to be killed off, the newly created FBI took up the case—one of the organization’s first major homicide investigations. Director J. Edgar Hoover turned to former Texas Ranger Tom White, who put together an undercover team and began to expose one of the most sinister conspiracies in American history.
