Named after the Chosen Bean Coffeehouse once located on Main Street in Chatfield, the Chosen Bean Concerts Series has garnered a reputation for presenting the best in live original acoustic music performed by regional and national musicians who stretch the gamut from legendary icons to emerging talents. Originally launched in 2011, the Series is now heading into its 17th run and continues to be presented in Southeast Minnesota's premier listening room, the American Legion Room at Chatfield Center for the Arts.

Flagship Romance - Saturday, September 7 at 7:30pm:  The Fall 2019 Chosen Bean Concert Series kicks off with Flagship Romance. Based in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico, the ‘harmonic alternative folk’ duo of Shawn Fisher and Jordyn Jackson live, work, and annually travel tens of thousands of miles together, deeply in love with each other and the process of bringing their emotionally powerful music to the people. Rupert Wates - Saturday, October 12 at 7:30pm: Rupert Wates was born in London and studied at Oxford University. He has been a full time songwriter since the late 1990s, and in London he worked with some of the best performers in the city.  In fall 2006 he came to the US and is now based in New York City and Colorado. Since coming to the US, he has won more than 40 songwriting and performing awards. His music is an eclectic mix of acoustic, melodic art/folk, with flavors of jazz, vaudeville and cabaret. Reggie Harris - Saturday, November 9 at 7:30pm: Reggie Harris is a singer-songwriter, storyteller, and cultural ambassador on a mission to educate, entertain, and inspire. For over 40 years, he has captivated audiences to standing ovations in the US, Canada, and across Europe. A songwriter of great depth and insight, Reggie writes from a personal but accessible place that reveals his deep sense of humanity and a uniquely positive worldview. He is a trailblazer who performs for audiences of all ages. Wyatt Easterling - Saturday, December 7 at 7:30pm: Wrapping up the season is Wyatt Easterling in conjunction with the Center's Bluff Country Christmas celebration. A multi-platinum songwriter and producer, Wyatt Easterling is a master storyteller. His latest record, Divining Rod, shot to #5 on the Folk charts in 2017 and was recognized as one of the top 25 folk albums of the year by Back Porch Radio. With his smooth vocals and gritty lyrics, punctuated by intricate guitar work, Wyatt knows his way around a song and how to deliver it. Chosen Bean Concert Series Tickets: Series subscriptions for all 4 concerts are $70; tickets for individual shows are $20 in advance or $22 at the door. Additional order fees may apply. Complimentary coffeehouse concessions featuring the Chosen Bean blend from Cabin Coffee-Chatfield is served at every concert. Beer, wine, soda, water and snacks also available for purchase. Doors open 45 minutes before each performance.
