High school piano students in Omaha, Des Moines, and Southwest Iowa are invited to participate in the annual Victor Borge Legacy Awards. Each region runs its own competition to select the first and second-place winners. All winners will perform in a recital open to the public on Saturday, April 27, using Victor Borge’s own piano at the museum!

The competition is held in conjunction with the South West Iowa Music Teachers Association, the Omaha Music Teachers Association, the Des Moines Public Schools, and the Museum of Danish America.

Funding for the Victor Borge Legacy Award is provided through a generous gift from R. James and Janet Borge Crowle, Saint Michaels, Maryland. Additional support comes from the Eric and Joan Norgaard Charitable Trust and the Charles W. and Norma J. Wilson Foundation.
