"Collectively Indispensable, Individually Obscure: The Women of Early Virginia" Enjoy the historic ambience of Virginia’s greatest colonial church and savor an array of tempting hors d’oeuvres in our courtyard before joining renowned curator Bly Straube for this dynamic presentation that uses museum objects, archaeological discoveries and historical documents to explore some of the little-known stories of Powhatan, English, and African women in the early 17th-century Virginia colony.

June 14th: Get on the bus with HCC&M the next day for a visit to Historic Jamestowne and Jamestown Settlement to see some of the sites, stories and artifacts Straube discusses.
