Join the Friends of Gold Butte as we present an interesting and informative discussion on everyone's favorite desert reptile, the Mojave Desert Tortoise. These fascinating creatures are uniquely adapted for living in the harsh conditions in Gold Butte. 

Florence Deffner, a Desert Tortoise Recovery Biologist from the Southern Nevada Fish & Wildlife Office will share her knowledge about the habits and lifestyles of these amazing animals, as well as sharing news about the recovery program which is underway now.
