Remember the good ole days listening to your favorite stories on the radio? Well, One Stage Family Theatre wants to take you back to those days with their production of the holiday classic “It’s A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play”.
On Christmas Eve 1945, George Bailey contemplates suicide, prayers for him reach heaven where angel Clarence Odbody is assigned to save him.
To prepare Clarence is shown flashbacks of George’s life starting with his childhood, and saving his younger brother from drowning. When George wishes that he was never born Clarence decides to grant that wish and show him what life would have been like if he had never existed, including George never being there to save his brother. Seeing his world crumble around him George begs Clarence to give him his life back, realizing now that it actually is “A Wonderful Life”.
