An Evening of Western Swing Music Kristyn Harris and "Miss Devon and the Outlaw"

Kristyn is making her triumphant return to Prescott after headlining the Arizona Cowboy Poets Gathering in 2014.

Kristyn, who hails from Collin County, Texas, has a passion for all things cowboy and western swing music. Inspired by her connection to the ranching lifestyle and by the music of classic and contemporary western icons, she is noted for her singing, songwriting, yodeling and sock rhythm guitar style.

Kristyn's love and involvement with horses started with her first horse at age 11; she eventually garnering the top National Award for Hippology (the Study of Horses) with her 4H team in 2011. That training was put to good use when she adopted and trained a wild mustang filly, which she rode during the entirety of the 50-mile New Mexico Centennial Cattle Drive in May 2012. She considers her horses one of her primary musical inspirations - and her best friends!

In 2011, Kristyn was the winner of the Rising Star Competition at the Kamloops, B.C. Cowboy Festival. She was a top five finalist for the 2012 Academy of Western Artists Female Performer of the Year, and was in the top five for WMA's Crescendo Award in 2010 and 2011. In 2013. the Academy of Western Artists named her the Female Performer of the Year. The Western Music Association named her their Female Performer of the Year two straight years {2014-2015) and in 2016 she was the youngest to ever receive the WMA Entertainer of the Year award and the only Female to win the award twice when she repeated as WMA Entertainer of the Year in 2017. And she found her way to Hollywood after being awarded a "Golden Ticket" in the 2018 version of "American Idol". On the stage, around a campfire, or on horseback, Kristyn delights audiences with her warm, genuine and energetic personality!

"Miss Devon and the Outlaw" featuring Devon Dawson and Jessie Robertson, aka "Outlaw Jessie Del"

Hailing from Fort Worth, Texas, Devon Dawson is a top entertainer in western music, having been recognized by the Academy of Western Artists as the Female Performer of the Year in 2009. She is noted for her vintage sock-rhythm guitar style, and warm "swingtime cowgirl" vocals, which bring to mind legendary B-western ladies of the silver screen, Dale Evans, Patsy Montana, etc. Her lively persona intrigues and engages both kids and adults in her audience. She holds a Grammy certificate for her participation as "Jessie the Yodeling Cowgirl" on the Walt Disney CD, "Woody's Roundup" featuring Riders in the Sky, inspired by the characters of Toy Story 2.

When Jessie Robertson joins Miss Devon on the stage, things get more fun than puttin' socks on a rooster. According to witnesses, he's the rowdier half of the duo, and he got his name 'cause, as Miss Devon says, "It's plumb illegal what he does with Milk Cow Blues!" With a fine tenor-to-baritone vocals added to some swingy saxophone rides, a little sleight of hand, and a LOT of charm, this rascal just might make a clean getaway with yer funny bone.
