Event Name:
CWAG LD 1 WATER ISSUES CANDIDATE FORUM AUG. 4
Description
When citizens express concern about rapid population growth in the face of drought and our shrinking water supply, how do our state legislators respond? What ideas do they have for legislation to strengthen our water laws so that Arizonans really will have water for 100 years and beyond?

Come find out when the Citizens Water Advocacy Group (CWAG) hosts a forum on water issues for Legislative District 1 House and Senate candidates on Aug. 4 in the sanctuary at the Granite Peak Unitarian Universalist Congregation building, 882 Sunset Ave. in Prescott (two blocks behind True Value). Candidates will be available to meet with the public at 9:30 a.m. The forum will take place from 10 a.m. to noon.

CWAG President Gary Beverly will moderate the forum. Read the forum discussion questions under “Current Issues” at www.cwagaz.org.

Seven candidates have filed for three legislative seats in LD 1. Senate candidates are Republican candidate Karen Fann (incumbent) and Democrat Jo Craycraft. Candidates for the State House are Republican incumbents Noel Campbell and David Stringer, Republican Jodi Rooney, and Democrats Ed Gogek and Jan Manolis.
