NVSO Auditions for Youth Strings and Youth Orchestra
Description

North Valley Symphony Orchestra will be holding auditions for two of  their three youth ensembles on August 18th and 19th: North Valley Youth Strings (NVYS) and North Valley Youth Orchestra (NVYO). North Valley Symphonettes (NVS) is a non-audition orchestra accepting beginning string players with one year experience on their instrument, and with basic music-reading skills.   NVYS (Youth Strings) – Directed by Orlando Moss – Intermediate Level NVSO Youth Strings is an intermediate level orchestra, which helps students  advance their musical training. Youth Strings play two to four concerts each school year. Auditions will be held to ensure that the students are placed in the appropriate orchestra so they have a positive educational experience.  NVYO (Youth Orchestra) – Directed by Josh Lynch -- Advanced Level NVSO Youth Orchestra is an audition-only orchestra that challenges advanced students and plays multiple concerts and recruiting events each school year. Youth Orchestra students are typically high school students but some advanced middle school students have been accepted.
