ST. DAVID PIONEER DAYS is the place for friends, families, history, food, and fireworks this coming July 20-21 on or near the St. David School grounds, Hwy 80, St. David, AZ.  Please visit www.saintdavidheritage.org for a complete schedule and other information.  "Old Fashioned Fun" is this year's theme, and events include historical presentations, live music, parade, games, pioneer activities, engine show, BBQ luncheon, family foot rodeo, evening vendors, youth football, music, prizes, quilt drawing, and fireworks.  Details at saintdavidheritage.org.
 
VENDORS SOUGHT FOR ST. DAVID PIONEER DAYS, JULY 21 -- Craft and food vendors are sought for the Saturday evening Pioneer Days activities, 6:00-9:00 p.m., Saturday, July 21, on the St. David High School football field.  Hundreds will gather for an evening of youth football, music, prizes, and a grand finale fireworks display.  Vendor registration fee is $10 (benefits St. David Schools PTO) and an item worth at least $10 to be used for the fireworks fund drawings that evening.  For information and registration, email dabnee.martin13@gmail.com (put “Vendor Fair” in the subject line) or call Dabnee at 520-686-3749. 
 
PIONEER DAYS PARADE SEEKS ENTRIES -- "Old Fashioned Fun" is the theme for the St. David Pioneer Days celebration this year.  The parade begins at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 21, and welcomes entries from individuals, families, businesses, churches, and organizations throughout the San Pedro Valley.  For more information and free registration, contact Shirley Gillette, segillette@yahoo.com, or call 520-221-0766.  Join the fun!
 
2018 HERITAGE QUILT DRAWING -- A beautiful queen size quilt, turquoise, brown, and white and valued at $1,500, will be awarded just before the fireworks at St. David Pioneer Days on Saturday, July 21.  You need not be present to win, and the proceeds benefit the rehabilitation of St. David Schools' historic 1938 Elementary Building and Lansing Auditorium.  Tickets are $5, 3 for $10, 7 for $20, or 20 for $50, and can be purchased at the event or prior at The Cowboy Way in Benson, Benson Feed, the Benson Museum, the St. David School office, or by calling Wilda at 520-720-9440.

5:00-7:00 PM   St. David History Demonstration:  “Plowing with Oxen ” by Dr. Andy Mayberry.  Meet at lot at the SW corner of Hwy 80 & Miller Lane. 
7:00-9:00 PM   “Making Music with Family & Friends” - The Young & Davis families will lead an evening of old fashioned musical fun.  Lansing Auditorium.  Interested in performing?  Contact Braden Davis, 520-365-0272.
 
SATURDAY, JULY 21
9:00 AM  Traditional Pioneer Day Parade, N. Miller Lane.  Theme:
   “Old Fashioned Fun.”  N. Miller Lane closes to vehicles at 8:45 AM.
9:30 AM– 12:00 Noon 
   Old-fashioned Games, Mormon Battalion Encampment & More on school grounds (Crawford Field).  Games, races, pioneer activities and demonstrations, black powder rifles.  Tractors and engines display, wagon rides, and more. 
   “Stories of Old Fashioned Fun” (Lansing Auditorium, 1938 Building)  Meet our Grand Marshal and share your stories of “old fashioned fun.” 
11:00-1:00 PM  Traditional BBQ Meal  (K-Hall)  BBQ Beef, Beans, Cole Slaw, Tortilla, Chips & Salsa, Drinks, Dessert.   $7 Adult/$5 under 12; $1 discount per plate with Heritage Society membership (available at the door).
3:00-6:00 PM  Old Fashioned Family Foot Rodeo at McWhorter/Hatch Arena; enjoy the shade!  Turn west at 2nd Ave. near Hwy 80 Milepost 303; follow the signs.
6:00-9:00 PM  EVENING EVENTS - at St. David High School’s football field (Apache Nitrogen Stadium) --
